#1 Karl the Fog
Golden Gate National Recreation Area
You need to visit more than one spot to get your head around the scale and wonder of this incredible piece of architecture. Every angle you can find is worth checking out! For the famous ‘Karl the Fog’, we found Battery Spencer gave us the most iconic view. We rented bikes from Pier 39 and cycled all the way over the bridge, through the fog, and up to the view point for sunset. It was about a 30 minute ride for a truly unforgettable experience. If it’s a clear day head to Baker Beach for another amazing angle of the Golden Gate Bridge.
#2 Sunrise from Dawn Pavilion
Yellow Mountain Scenic Area
Mount Huangshan is one of the most beautiful places in the world, hands down. It’s views are what dreams are made of! You literally feel like you’re in a video game. From countless memorable moments from our time on the summit, an early morning on Dawn Pavilion takes the prize. We stayed out all night watching the Milky Way, which meant we were blessed with front row seats to one of the most impressive sunrises we’ve ever seen. It’s easy to understand why so many flock there and push through crowds of people just to get a glimpse of this famous Huangshan sunrise.
#3 Jökulsárlón Diamond Beach
Vatnajökull National Park
Iceland is one of our favourite places in the world. It’s not all about the Northern Lights though. Though they are a life changing experience, Iceland is full of incredibly beautiful views and natural beauty. One of those being the Diamond Beach at Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon. We spent a long morning there playing with angles and perspectives around the diamond like ice bergs that wash back onto the black sandy beach after e’re in for a treat!
